Pitcher Mark Severs effortlessly hooks up with catcher Timmy Askins to pitch a complete game shutout and added two of the teams four hits on the offensive side (two doubles and an RBI). Nick Chacon also was perfect with a hit and two walks, scoring two runs. The Tigers defense was still shaky, dropping two infield flies and misplaying a dinky grounder. Despite these miscues, the Tigers team spirit was enough to outlast the Red Sox. The next game will be against the Cubs on Sunday at James Island.
