Game Notes:    The Pirates improve to 3-0 with a great pitching
performance from Thad Rowland in the 8-1 win over the
James Island Tigers. Rowland went eight innings
allowing no earned runs while striking out eight. Eric
Heath came in to pitch a scoreless ninth inning and
slam the door shut on the rallying Tigers. 
At the plate, Ricky Driggers had his 2nd home run (inside the
park) of the season and collected 3 RBI's. Michael
Cragg had a solid day at the plate by going 2 for 4.
For the Tigers, Neil Lauri and Matt Stromp had two
hits each.
 
Alt Game Notes: Three walks, two errors, and a double in the first
inning by the Tigers puts them in an early four run
deficit.  Jimmy Trenor threw 6 innings giving up only
two hits, but 9 walks.  Neil Lauri was 2-3 with a
double and RBI, Matt Stromp was 2-4 with a stolen base
for the Tigers.  Greg Gathers was 1-2 with a double
and three walks, Terry was 1-2 with a double and two
walks, and Cragg was 2-4 with two singles for the
Pirates.  Rowland pitched a good game for the Pirates

giving up only 1 run in eight innings.
